Visit to the Ioffe Physico-Technical Institute for 75th anniversary celebratory meeting. Material comprises correspondence, which includes notification of Peierls's election as Honourable Member of the Ioffe Institute 1992, formally conferred during the meeting.

Peierls contributed a paper on 'Technology transfer through research training', and was to chair a session on the role of the United Nations. He was taken ill with pneumonia and spent some time in hospital in Rome and on his return to Oxford.
