Leslie Kirkley, Director of Oxfam, following the BBC2 'Man Alive' documentary, 'What Price Charity?' (see MS. Oxfam COM/5/4/46), asks viewers to consider Oxfam's role in relieving poverty, suffering and distress, and how Oxfam should be building up an informed band of supporters at home.

This was produced to mark Leslie Kirkley's twentieth anniversary as Secretary, later Director of Oxfam. It was filmed at Oxfam House and the Broad Street shop, and features interviews with Leslie Kirkley and Joe Mitty, Gift Shops Manager. The BBC interviewer is Bob Friend. The film was transmitted on 26 Feb 1971.
