Abstract

Papers of Maurice F. Headlam, civil servant (1873-1956), of his brother Brigadier General Hugh R. Headlam (1877-1955), and of other members of the Headlam family.

Biographical / Historical

Maurice Francis Headlam (1873-1956) was a civil servant. He was Assistant Private Secretary to the Chancellor of the Exchequer, Austen Chamberlain, 1903-1905, and Treasury Remembrancer and Deputy Paymaster for Ireland, 1912-1920. Details are given in Who Was Who.

Brigadier General Hugh Roger Headlam (1877-1955) was an officer in the British Army. Details are likewise given in Who Was Who.
