Rubbings of eight inscriptions on stones, chiefly in Latin, thus described on fol. 1: 'Inscriptions in Wales. The rubbings of inscriptions 1-6 and 8 were taken by me in 1899 ... The photographs & rubbings of those grouped under 7 were taken a little later in the same autumn by the writer of the letter which accompanies them, Miss Margaret C. Wilde. The general accounts of all ... are by me. The arrangement is from N. to S. All the above inscriptions were in Caernarvonshire or Merioneth. E. W. B. Nicholson.'
Some additions (fols. 69-78) were made to this volume in 1904, fols. 79-85 were added in A.D. 1909.
