Custodial History
This item is part of the Music School collection of printed and manuscript music, which was originally bequeathed to the University of Oxford by William Heather (c 1563-1627), and gradually added to until the end of the 18th century.
Immediate Source of Acquisition
The collection was transferred to the Bodleian in 1885.

Three part-books, now bound together. Each is a single quire: part-book i, 26 leaves plus an extra bifolium inserted between pp. 14 and 19; part-book ii, 26 leaves; part-book iii, 18 leaves. Paper of two kinds, watermarks Pro Patria, countermark 1A, not in Heawood, and Coat of Arms, countermark AB. Ruled with 12 five-line staves, red marginal ruling. Contemporary pagination, now superseded. Blank leaves at ends. Stiff paper covers.
