Custodial History
A printed facsimile in colours of a Mexican MS. numbered 3773 in the Vatican Library, enclosed in a wooden box. The work was done in 1896 for the Duc de Loubat, who presented the facsimile on Nov. 11 in that year. The subject of the MS. (which is identical with that called Vatican MS. 3738 by lord Kingsborough and reproduced with translation and notes in vols. iii. and vi. of his Antiquities of Mexico) is mythological and historical illustrations of the early history of Mexico.
