For a full description in Latin of Greek items in this collection see, Catalogi codicum manuscriptorum Bibliothecae Bodleianae pars prima recensionem codicum Graecorum continens (Oxford, 1853, reprinted with corrections by H. O. Coxe, Oxford, 1969).

Immediate Source of Acquisition

The manuscripts were either bought through Thomas Rodd at the Richard Heber sale, Part xi (manuscripts), 10-20 February 1836, or were purchased within the year from Thomas Thorpe, the London bookseller, who had previously obtained them at the sale.

Originally, another manuscript was part of this collection but not found at the time A summary catalogue of western manuscripts in the Bodleian Library at Oxford which have not hitherto been catalogued in the Quarto series (Falconer Madan, et al.), was written. The manuscript was a 'Catalogue of [William] Prynne's Publications in Chronological Order, with additions by Mr. Heber'. The Summary Catalogue description notes: "see MS. Add. B. 77, fols. 52-54."
