Orchestral parts used at the Holywell Music Room, Oxford, c 1755-early 19th cent., in various hands, of which only one, of William Walond (1719-1768) can be identified (item (1)). Many parts are marked 'Music Room' or 'Oxford'. The works are mainly excerpts from operas.

- (fols. 1-6) 2nd horn parts for the overtures to Thomas Arne's Alfred, Artaxerxes, Eliza, Judith, and Thomas and Sally, together with the airs 'When with love' by John Stanley, and 'Behold on Lethe's dismal strand' from Arne's Artaxerxes. In the hand of William Walond, the Oxford Musical Society's main copyist in the mid-18th cent. The Eliza overture appears to have been copied c 1755, the remainder c 1765. 6 leaves;
