Music to Aeschylus' Oresteia by Sir Jack Allan Westrup. Revised version, 1924. Autograph vocal score in ink for unison chorus with piano accompaniment.
The original version was performed June-July 1923 at various venues. The revised version, with additional numbers, was performed June-July 1924 at various venues. At the first Oxford performance of 1924, the accompaniment also included flute, oboe and bassoon, but all the other performances were with piano only.
Programmes (from both 1923 and 1924) and press reviews are bound or pasted in, and details of the casts and performance venues are on pp. vii-viii.

Immediate Source of Acquisition
Given by Lady Westrup through Albi Rosenthal. Intended to arrive in 1976 (with Westrup's Monteverdi editions, MSS. Mus. c. 419-423), but not handed over by Rosenthal until 2004.
Separated Materials
A cast photograph, originally loosely inserted, is now MS. Photogr. c. 185, fol. 78.
