Immediate Source of Acquisition

The manuscripts accompanied a donation of coins by Thomas Knight esq., of Godmersham Park, Kent, made in 1795.

Three other manuscripts (formerly MSS. Num. d. 7-9) were originally part of the collection (three catalogues of coins). These were transferred to the Ashmolean Museum on 18 December 1920).
