The epistle dedicatory to Ferdinand IV king of Naples (whose arms are on p. xiii) is signed 'Abbate Giuseppe Vella', Palermo, Sept. 6, 1789.
But the whole collection is a forgery by Vella, with whom Alfonso Airoldi was associated.
