Edward Steele (fl. 1705-1760) was a house painter and an antiquary.

Bought by the Library as part of lot 280 in the Phillipps sale, June 6, 1899: one of Craven Ord's MSS. purchased from Thorpe in 1828 or 1829 (artt. 541-2), and nos. 3822-23 in the Phillipps library. See no. 33744.
