Biographical / Historical

Anthony Wood (1632–1695) was an antiquary.

John Gadbury (1627–1704) was an astrologer.

Custodial History

The volumes were given by Gadbury to Robert Newman on July 1, 1691, and were subsequently owned by George Wakeman (armorial bookplate, 18th century) and 'Colvill Bridger' (19th century).
