Biographical / Historical

Alexander Kincaid (1710–1777), bookseller and printer, was born in Falkirk on 17 March 1710. Kincaid and John Bell formed a partnership in May 1758 and worked together as the publishing house Kincaid and Bell until their dissolution in May 1771. Details are given in the Dictionary of National Biography.
