Biographical / Historical
The Parlement of Dijon was created by Louis XI, it had judicial and political jurisdiction. One of the Parlement's most significant political powers was the ability to refuse to record royal decisions; this power was lost during the reign of Louis XIV, but regained in 1715 following the king's death.
