Biographical / Historical
Henry Boyle, 1st Baron Carleton (d. 1725), politician, was principal Secretary of State. Charles, 2nd Viscount Townshend (1674-1738), statesman, was ambassador extraordinary at The Hague. Details are given in the Dictionary of National Biography.
