Biographical / Historical
The Nyon family were booksellers in Paris; Treutell & Würtz were also booksellers.
Étienne Gabriel Peignot was born at Arc-en-Barrois on the 15th of May, 1767. Originally a bookseller he later became librarian at Dijon. Peignot died in 1849.
