Biographical / Historical
Captain William Bloomfield Douglas (fl 1870-1882), colonial administrator, served as the first Government Resident in the Northern Territories, Australia, 1870-1873. He left the Northern Territories in 1874 and found work in the Straits Settlements and as Resident of Selangor, Malaya, 1876-1882.
