These are two lists of the printed books and manuscripts of Dr. Thomas Marshall, rector of Lincoln college, Oxford. The MSS. occur in the Old Catalogue as nos. 5233-327 and also as nos. 8623-86. Both the printed books and MSS. are still kept under the donor's name, the former amounting to 453, the latter to 141. The lists have no doubt been in the Library ever since their formation.

Immediate Source of Acquisition
This collection was bequeathed to the Bodleian at Dr. Thomas Marshall's death in 1685, but perhaps not received till about 1689.
