Papers of the Herrick Family of Leicestershire, 16th-19th century

Biographical / Historical

The Herrick family of Leicestershire included Sir William Herrick (1562-1653), who was a goldsmith and moneylender, and one of the four Tellers of the Exchequer of Receipt, 1616-1623.

Immediate Source of Acquisition

The papers were bought from Hofmann and Freeman, with the aid of a grant from the fund administered by the Victoria and Albert Museum, in 1968.
