Eleven autograph manuscript letters and two postcards, one typescript letter and postcard from Ruth Pitter to Lieutenant Colonel 'Gil' Belcher, most addressed from The Hawthorns, Long Crendon. In the letters, Pitter refers to her own poems and ones Belcher has sent her, as well as poetry in general; her old age; and her 'native Essex'. Also includes page of pencil notes for letter from Belcher to Pitter.
