Custodial History
A note by Mr. Halliwell-Phillipps is at fol. iv of MS. Warwickshire c. 3, but the supposed notes by Sir William Dugdale are not in Dugdale's hand.
Immediate Source of Acquisition
The manuscripts were purchased on Jan. 29, 1863, from Mr. James Orchard Halliwell (Phillipps) for £14, as a 'parcel of MSS. by Sir Symon Archer & Dugdale presented to the Shakespeare Fund to be sold for the benefit of that fund.'
