Forty-nine French songs (with one Italian, at fol. 41v, and one Spanish, at fol. 47v), with music: introduced by a short poem 'a monseigneur Giorge Broue', perhaps George Brooke (d. 1603), son of Lord Cobham. The first twenty-eight of the songs are in the original hand and signed 'Tessier $', probably implying that they are Charles Tessier's songs. A slightly later and very different hand has added some music and twenty-two more songs, one Spanish, and a partial index. The Italian song, by Angelo Padoano, is in a third hand.
