On Jan. 19, 1889, the Rector of Exeter College presented a 'parcel of Vice-Chancellor's papers, chiefly manuscript, 1828-31': in continuation of a gift of 1888 (see no. 29867 and reff. there): and the Curators of the University presented thirteen volumes of Oxford University papers on July 19. The manuscript part of these are represented by the following set of volumes, which were all added to the hand-lists in 1889, and appear to be accessions of that year or in one or two cases 1888. They chiefly concern the Vice-chancellorships of two Rectors of Exeter, Dr. John Collier Jones, Oct. 1828-Oct. 1832, and Dr. John Prideaux Lightfoot, Oct. 1862-Oct. 1866. Nos. 30082, 30087 and 30099 at least are no doubt from the Curators, and the rest of the thirteen may have consisted of printed papers.
