  2. Fol. 10. Copies of some Latin documents about lands of Hugh de Courtenay earl of Devon, 1293-1335, etc.

Miscellaneous papers 'bought by the Bodleian in lot 325 at Sotheby's Nov. 10, 1899', comprising Berkshire notes, some of about A.D. 1700 (fol. 43) and about A.D. 1825 (fol. 63), and some about West Woodhay, 1784 (fol. 88), also a copy of sir Edward Donne's Will, of Horsingdon in Buckinghamshire, Dec. 20, 1551 (fol. 97), and of briefs of 1694 to 1744 from the registers of Kempsford in Gloucestershire (fol. 101)

  1. Fols. 150-4. constables' accounts for Messingham, Lincs., 1762-5
  2. Fols. 157-209. papers of Wentworth Webster concerning his family's pedigree, 1894-1903
  3. Fols. 212-24. bills and receipts of Sir Edward Nicholas, 1638-46

Additions, (fols. 119-133) 'Papers formerly belonging to J[ohn] Britton the antiquary', presented by mr. Percy Manning, Feb. 26, 1913. These comprise:

  1. A letter from Samuel Carte junior to his father, the rev. Samuel Carte, vicar of st. Martin's in Leicester, Feb. 27, 1714/5 (fol. 120)
  2. Papers in a suit in the Court of Arches between Griffith Vaughan, archd. of Shropshire, and the rev. John Evans, rector of Stockton, and other law papers (fol. 121v)
  3. 'Extracts from ... an account of the states of the church and vicarage of Kenilworth from ... 1558 to the present year 1716, drawn up by Wm. Best, vicar' (fol. 129)
