- General remarks (fols. 1, 120)
- two alphabetical series of names of places, interleaved, with notes and index (fols. 4, 90v, 112)
- References to authorities are freely given, and additions made, and Aubrey's collections were used
- The dates 1697, 1698, occur on fols. 89v, 116v, and the hand appears to be that of bp. Thomas Tanner
- At fol. 143 is an inserted leaf, bearing a list of standard historical works, and on the verso a list of five more 'received [at Oxford] by Bartlet's waggon' on May 26, 1694
