Autograph fair copy dated at beginning 'March 3 1835' and at end 'Royal Academy of Music March 20 1835'. On fol. 4 is the date 'Easter Sunday April 20th 1835', and a note to Mr Goodwin, copyist, concerning alterations in the score.
On fol. 20 is a draft in pencil, over which Bennett's son-in-law Thomas Case (1844-1925) wrote 'A Sketch for 1st Movement of Symphony in G minor unpublished 17 Nov. 1888.' [Williamson WO 31:A.2]
