'A perfect Index or Repertorie unto twenty-five volumes of Manuscript-Bookes, in folio, which were the Collections of Sr William le Neve knt [purchased by sir Edw. Walker and given by him to the Heralds' Office] ... made and composed by me Sr William Dugdale ... mense Iunij Aº 1679', an alphabetical index by subjects to a long series of extracts from public records etc., chiefly relating to the duties and office of Heralds, and kindred subjects. Then follow:
- (fol. 27) Extracts relating to the viscount Purbeck (d. 1657) and his wife's son Robert Wright alias Danvers (d. abt. 1675), and his son Robert Danvers (d. 1684), 1627-1677;
- (fol. 33) Extracts 'ex quibusdam Collectionibus Iohannis Lelandi penès Henricum St. George equitem ... 1677', and 'ex Collectionibus Ioannis Rowse de antiquitate Oxonij et Academia', etc.; all chiefly on English antiquities.
