  1. Fol. 1. A letter from bp. Thomas Barlow, Jan. 21, 1664/5, bought in 1897
  2. Fol. 2. An acknowledgement of a loan by John 'Awbrey', Oct. 23, 1667, bought in 1901
  3. Fol. 4a. A letter from bp. Thomas Tanner, May 29, 1725, bought in 1902
  4. Fol. 6. A letter from Richard Gough, Apr. 16, 1788, bought in 1903

  3. A letter from M[ary] Evelyn, wife of the diarist, to dr. [Ralph] Bohun, at New college, Oxford, March 22, 1667/8 (fols. 30-1)
  4. Two holograph letters of John Evelyn, Jan. 18, 1696/7, and Mar. 1, 169/78, and a draft of a third, Feb. 1, 1703/4 (fols. 32-6)
  5. A prayer for use on the 31st December by the last named, with an 'advertisement' or preface by him, slightly damaged and incomplete (fols. 37-8)
  6. Also two letters from mrs. Frances E. R. Heygate of Waynflete, Eton (fols. 26-9), by whom the papers were presented to the Library, April 4, 1914
