  1. A collection of valuable original letters relating to the discovery of urns, implements etc. etc. during excavations on the Berkshire hills, 1851-1858 [chiefly from E. Martin Atkins, 1850-8, fol. 2]
  2. Also letters relating to the excavations at Brighthampton, 1857-8, by J. Y. Akerman & S. Stone
  3. Miscellaneous letters on similar subjects. From the collection of dr. [John] Wilson, President of Trinity College, Oxford: purchased Dec. 1873 ... J. P. Earwaker.' The letters are all addressed to dr. Wilson, and there is a draft of a reply by him, Sept. 19, 1857 (fol. 100), and a letter of April 17, 1869 (fol. 82)
  4. Fol. 1 shows that no. 29087 was also from dr. Wilson's collection
