A copy of dr. Thomas Smith's Catalogus librorum manuscriptorum Bibliothecæ Cottonianæ(Oxon., 1696, folio), with manuscript notes of about 1705, showing the size and number of leaves in each, a list of the charters kept in capsae, and of some pictures etc., and a copy of the Report to the trustees of the library of June 22, 1703. In 1883 was inserted at fol. 189 an early 19th cent. 'Table of the contents of MS. Cotton Caligula C. 1.'
