Papers, chiefly relating to William Cartwright a bishop among the Nonjurors (d. 1799) and to the Nonjurors especially of Shrewsbury and the neighbourhood, of which the chief are:
  1. Fol. 1. a note on the position of the Nonjurors, 1717-1837, by the rev. H. H. Norris of Hackney, who formed this collection
  2. Fol. 3. Memoranda copied by F. Holmes in 1837, cf. fols. 26, 28
  3. Fol. 30. A letter from Jesse Lee about Nonjuring bishops of Manchester, with a sketch of their pastoral staff, Aug. 9, 1837
  4. Fol. 34. Seventeen letters of Cartwright himself, with some to him, 1784-96, some copies, including copies of four between him and dr. John Douglas bp. of Carlisle, 1789 (fol. 82)
