1, fol. 3. Original warrants for pensions and grants, while Walter Chetwynd was paymaster of pensions, 1718-30:

  1. Preceded at fol. 1 by a copy of the allowances made to Windsor in compensation for the erection of a new bridge at Datchet, July 19, 1708, cf. fol. 113
  2. At fols. 3, 111 are the original appointments of W. Chetwynd to be paymaster, March 18, 1717/8, and July 25, 1727, each signed by the king, as are also nearly all the warrants, of which there is a complete list and index in the Library
  3. Among the recipients are the French refugees (1718, fol. 5, cf. 99, 102), the intended Royal Academy of Music (1719, fol. 14), and Chetwynd himself (1724, fol. 73)
  4. Two warrants in 1729 are signed by 'Caroline R. C. R.', the queen (fols. 115, 116)

2, fol. 121. Letters from political spies and secret agents, informations of treason, etc., 1741-6, chiefly laid before col. the hon. Thomas de Veil. There is a complete list and index of these papers in the Library.
