The Autobiography of sir Thomas Bodley
The Autobiography of sir Thomas Bodley, dated Dec. 15, 1609, wanting one leaf after fol. 4, followed (at fol. 9) by his Will, Jan. 2, 1612/3, and a codicil (Jan. 23 or 25, 1612/3?), and also by the indenture of endowment of the Library, April 20, 1609 (fol. 23), imperfect at end.
The Autobiography is printed in Hearne's Reliquiæ Bodleianæ(1703) from this MS. before it had lost a leaf, and the Will and codicil, also from this MS., in Macray's Annals of the Bodleian, 2nd ed. (1890).
This volume is a contemporary copy in two hands (changing at fol. 23), and the indenture is stated to be a careless transcrpit, no doubt from the original in the University Archives, from which it is printed in Macray's Annals as above. Some Latin notes are on fol. 29v.
