'An Argument vpon the question of Impositions ...'
'An Argument vpon the question of Impositions ...' in thirty-three chapters: the epistle dedicatory to the king is signed 'John Davys.' The treatise seems to be identical with sir John Davies' Question Concerning Impositions (Lond., 1656), and is a copy made by a clerk between the latter part of James i's reign and 1649, a date written on fol. 94v.
There are some (rather later) corrections of the text, e. g. on fols. 40v, 44, 52. On fols. 92v, 93r are directions for making 'John Bartlett's Colloures', and 'Cornelius Pelch's', apparently for colouring pottery (about 1660-70?).
