  1. A rather later title on fol. 1 states that these scattered notes on antiquities preserved in England are by 'l'abbé Bertrand Capmartin de Chaupy, Docteur de Sorbonne.'
  2. The Abbé visited the British Museum (fol. 3v, etc.)
  3. the Towneley Collection (fol. 3v, etc.), private coin collections, and the like
  4. He also describes Stonehenge (fol. 23)
  5. At fol. 44 are some addresses of friends
