A valuable series of letters and papers nearly all addressed to successive Bodley's Librarians, 1638-1859, especially to dr. Humphrey Owen (1747-68), the rev. John Price (1768-1813), and dr. Bandinel (up to about 1835); with some miscellaneous letters: arranged in alphabetical order of writers' names. There is a full catalogue and index of the volume in the Library, but the following are, in chronological order, some of the more interesting items:
