The journal or diary of dr. Daniel Wilson, bishop of Calcutta, entitled 'Private Memoranda, Vol. 3d from July 28th 1845 to [Dec. 27] 18[57], for the eye of my Children & of my Successor only, D. C.' This has been used for the rev. J. Bateman's Life of bishop Wilson. The two first volumes were chiefly in shorthand, and were apparently thrown away in 1886.

Custodial History
Owned by the bishop's son, the rev. Daniel Wilson, whose armorial bookplate is in the volume, see a letter from his son, the rev. D. F. Wilson, March 3, 1890 (at fol. 337): bought in Oct. 1885 from mr. George Harding by R. F. B., who has written some notes.
