Two plays by R. Carleton, as privately acted by members of the family of the first earl of Ailesbury (d. 1685) at Tottenham Park, Savernake:

  1. Fol. 2. 'Conceal'd Royalty, or the May Queen, a pastoral ... written by R. Carleton, 1674'
  2. Fol. 19. 'The Martial Queen, a tragegedy [sic] ... written by R. Carleton, 1675'

Each play has a prologue and cast of characters, and the first an epilogue: a leaf or two is missing at the end of the second.
