'Expenses for 18 yeares ended at Mychaelmas 1618...', the private account book of John Smyth of Nibley, best known for his Relation of the Lives of the Lord Berkeleys. He was steward of the manor of Berkeley. On May 3, 1613, he contributed 22s. 'for the new buildinge the Schooles in Oxford.'
