Church notes of twenty-seven parishes in the neighbourhood of Oxford, including copies of monumental inscriptions, some illustrations and some general notes of the history of the places. Copies of some Christ Church Cathedral monumental inscriptions (1883) are at fol. 51, cf. xiv.

These are partly copied from antiquaries' notes, partly original, and all collected or written by William Plowman of Oxford, about 1875-1885.
