'This booke contayneth a generall collection of all the Offices of England with the fees and allowances belonging vnto them in the kinges gyft...', including:

  1. The state and court officers, the king's 'towns of war', castles, parks, etc., bishoprics and deaneries, etc., about 1605-6
  2. Some general lists follow at fol. 42v, the descent of qu. Elizabeth, the number of parish churches in each county, pensions and fees lapsed or granted Mich. 1613-Mich. 1614 (including Casaubon's death and the continuation of his pension to the widow and son) and the king's debts in 1616, the last two added to the volume
  3. The cover (foll. 1, 48) is from a Berkeley castle index of manors and parishes, which suggests that the whole volume belonged to John Smyth of Nibley
