Custodial History

This volume was part of lot 3197 in the sale (in 1779) of the books of dr. Zachary Grey (d. 1766), see no. 29392: two leaves of the sale catalogue containing the MSS. are at fols. vii, 1, and fol. iii is probably in his handwriting.

Immediate Source of Acquisition

Bought at the Percy sale, April 29, 1884 (part of lot 176).
