'Collections for the biography of Old Actors, derived from old books & MSS., alphabetically arranged.'

(fols. 2-128) are general collections, such as extracts from the registers of St. Saviour's Southwark, 1571-1639, made by Peter Cunningham, abt. 1845; at fol. 129 follow a mass of notes and extracts relating to individual actors, nearly all written by John Payne Collier.

The limits of date appear to be Elizabeth's to Charles i's reign, except that a copy of Abraham Cowley the poet's will, Sept. 28, 1665, is given, with notes, at fol. 8.
