Naval log-books, etc.:

  1. (fol. 1). 'An Establishment of the Numbers of Menn and of the ... Gunns ...' proposed for the Navy, drawn up in accordance with an order of March 16, 1673/4, giving the names of the ships and minute details about their crews and armament, in four series.
  2. (fol. 10). 'A gurnoll keptt by Thomas Applewhaite, master of His Magestes Hiered Ship the Agvstine ...' June 6, 1672-Apr. 9, 1674, about the English coast.
  3. (fol. 37). A log kept on board one of the ships of the royal Navy, Dec. 2, 1672-Mar. 17, 1673/4, apparently in the West Indies.
  4. (fol. 101). 'The Jornall off our uiage in bis Maiestes frigott the Henrietta...', Apr. 18, 1673-Nov. 27, 1675, about the English and western Mediterranean coasts.
  5. (fol. 132). A log kept 'In the Ship Hannibal ... ', June 12, 1689-May 6, 1691, by Jonathan Mayllam, about the English coast, the Canaries and Elsinore.
