A type-written copy, by the rev. H. E. Salter
A type-written copy, by the rev. H. E. Salter, of almost the whole of a volume in the possession of the earl of Macclesfield at Shirburn Castle, containing in the hand of Benjamin Rudyerd (early 17th cent.) a transcript of a Cartulary of the Cistercian abbey of Deulacres in Leek (Staffordshire), which had been transferred from Pulton in Cheshire in 1214.
The Pulton deeds occupy fols. 1-34, the Deulacres deeds fols. 35-187. An introduction on fol. 1 states that the original Cartulary seems to be lost.
