'Some writings belonging to Mr. Nicholas Buckeridge relating cheifly to Persian affairs during his stay at Gombroon [Bender Abbas] & his residence at Ispahaun', collected by his son, B[aynbrigge] Buckeridge, in 1713; including:
- Lists of prices of commodities in Persia and in England, 1658-9 (fols. 15, 34, 80)
- Directions for buying taffeta, diamonds and pearls (fols. 29, 66)
- Accounts kept by John Lewis at Ispahan in 1647-8 (fol. 35)
- Journals of, and instructions as to, voyages to Macassar in 1655-7 (fols. 43, 56), and to Mozambique in 1651 (fols. 51, 73)
- At fol. 84 is a list of contents of this MS. as well as of no. 36994 which was bound up with it until after it came into the Library, and some modern papers relating to Nicholas Buckeridge are at fol. 3
- A good impression of the seal of t e East India Company (whose agent Nicholas Buckeridge was) is at fol. 73
- There are documents in Dutch at fol. 58 and in Portuguese at fol. 61. No. 27766 is a similar volume
