Order by the Privy Council of Scotland, Oct. 30, 1619, suspending the 'horning' or outlawry pronounced against William Oliphant of Gask for failing to find caution or security for keeping the peace: stated to have been taken from the tunic of a dead Egyptian soldier on the battle-field of Tel-el-Kebir: see three letters from the donor at fol. 3.
