'A briefe discoorse of the perfet composition of Imprese ...' with many drawings of examples from Italian Devices. The text beg. 'The makynge of Imprese is twoe manner of wayes especiallye, The one with oute Mottes, the other with Mottes'.
The treatise would appear to be a translation or adaptation from the Italian, and has no connexion with Henry Estienne's Art of making Devises, tr. into English (Lond. 1636, etc.)
