Abstract
Manuscripts on Suffolk birds by R.H. Mitford (1815-1905), ornithologist, and Julian G. Tuck (1851-1933), clergyman and naturalist.
Biographical / Historical
Robert Henry Mitford (1815-1905) was the only child of clergyman John Mitford. In 1947 he married Anne Wilby. Their children included Robert Sidney Mitford, who was a Civil Servant. He was a contributor to the Zoologist.
Julian George Tuck (1851-1933) was the Rector of Tostock, near Bury St. Edmunds. He was the author of Ornithology of Suffolk (1891), a contributor to the Zoologist and president of the Suffolk Naturalists' Society.
